What is Landscape Visualisation?
There are many forms of landscape visualisation. All share the essential principle of enabling and enhancing communication of designed changes - especially to non-technical viewers, who may have difficulty understanding two-dimensional plans.
Bringing designs to life
The reason they tend to succeed, where plans fail by either over-complicating or over-simplifying, is that they display proposals in perspective. This is the same way that the human eye perceives - and the human brain comprehends - our surroundings.
Visualisation techniques
Many of these methods interact: 3D computer-based modelling provides a high degree of accuracy, even for very involved designs. Usually the 3D model is enhanced by being rendered within software to provide more accurate and natural lighting.
Outputs
The 3D model can be inserted into a photo to the correct scale and perspective to provide photomontage. The 3D model can also be taken into real-time environments for interactive exploration, or viewed as a video.
We consider that panoramic photography is a vital tool in conveying the scale of the landscape through the photographic medium.
We have also developed a range of specialist skills in wind turbine and solar farm visualisation.
Why 2B?
Our clients consider our greatest asset to be the fact that we are not visualisation "technicians", but chartered landscape architects who are capable of landscape visualisation.
